Write the Vision God Speaks to Your Heart

Where is your focus? Do you see the ideas God is revealing to your heart in daily life, relationships, and Scripture? Do you have a vision? God wants to open your eyes to see what He is doing and to reveal His purpose for your life. Writing the vision God speaks to your heart brings clarity.

Check Your Vision

Optometrists check our vision so we can see clearly. At age 15, my Optometrist prescribed glasses that I didn’t think I needed. However, the results of my eye exam revealed I couldn’t see objects clearly at a distance. 20/20 vision is the ability to see clearly at twenty feet, with corrective eyewear. I didn’t realize I was seeing objects dimly at this distance. I had limited vision.

God’s Perfect Vision Holds No Limitations

To see beyond my normal eyesight, I needed corrective eyewear. The Lord has perfect vision. When we see through His eyes, our vision becomes clear. When the Lord shows us something through His eyes, we need to pay attention. We remember by writing things down. Our minds cannot commit things to memory because they can’t remember everything.

Because our everyday life consists of writing grocery lists, guest lists, to-do lists, packing lists, and more, we are always writing. Even our doctors ask us to bring in a list of our medications.

Since the Lord calls us to capture our inspirations, dreams, thoughts, and reflections, He also calls us to remember them. Writing the vision God has given us guides the journey He has set before us.

For it’s in God’s light that we see light. (Psalm 36:9)
