Celebrate the Memories from October
It’s the end of October. Summer’s heat has passed. Yet, the cold weather lurks around the corner. Did you know October experiences the fastest decrease in daylight hours of any month? Do you notice the sun rises later and sets earlier each day? I have.
I can feel the change in weather and the stillness in the air as October transitions its temperature and ushers in less daylight. October creates a balance between the summer and winter months, with days that are neither too hot nor too cold.
New Beginnings
Summer memories quickly fade, making room for the arrival of a new season. Breezes serenade through the trees signaling its arrival. The crisp air and peaceful atmosphere offer moments of rest as I transition to what’s next. I would love to hold on to this season a little longer. The best thing for me is to appreciate the moments of October while I can. Because if I blink, the beauty and the memories can pass unnoticed.
Joy and Pain
For me, October holds deep meanings of loss and celebration. Joy and pain often walk hand in hand. Acknowledging both can be healing, which speaks to God’s strength to keep me during hard times. Additionally, this month offers the perfect relaxation before the rush of the holidays. Have you reflected on your memories from October?
“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.”(Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV)
Take a moment to pause, enjoy, and learn from October’s quiet days.
Learn to rest.
Learn to reflect.
Learn to rejoice.

October holds special meaning to me as well…my late Grandmothers birthday was Oct 31 and our anniversary just passed on the 28th. There are other memories, not as special but still my heart remembers and then I celebrate the good. Thank you.
